The beginning of September for numerous cyclists is reserved for the MTB festival Heart of Velebit/ Srce Velebita – Majstorska 190 (September 9-11), designed out of love for nature and the magnificent Velebit.
Towards the end of summer, after the heat and bustle of the sea, in good condition and with a great desire for mountain freshness and silence, Lika and the municipality of Lovinac are the right choice. Along with the abundance of nature’s fruits (raspberries, plums, dogwood, medicinal herbs), MTB masters and lady masters, as well as those who will become ones, have the opportunity to spend an unforgettable cycling and cycling-mountaineering weekend and be part of the celebration of the great anniversary – 190 years of the Master’s Road!
When the Velebit road was opened in 1832, it was the first modern road connecting Lika and Dalmatia, and because of its superior performance, it was called the Master Road. Today, this historic Velebit road has been declared a cultural asset of the Republic of Croatia.
It is also the location of a number of the most beautiful bicycle paths of the Heart of Velebit:

- bike & hike Tulove grede
- Winnetou
- Miles of Water
- Epic Heart of Velebit
- Juicy fruity
- Velebit bats (night trail).
Therefore, mark your arrival at Srce Velebit Majstorska 190 on Friday 9/9 in your calendars at 9 a.m. in front of Hostel Sveti Rok and spend three unforgettable days in good company on guaranteed good bike and bike & hike trails in Lika, in the untouched nature of Velebit and Lovinac.
